About the event
We are beaming with joy for the return of another beautiful Kirtan event with our local favorite, Alec Soderberg!! This time, he will be offering even more depth, knowledge and practices into the ancient wisdom of yoga & the power of sacred sound with a special deep dive into Nada Yoga.
Nada Yoga is the process of uniting the individual self with the universal self through the flow of sound. Nada is not just sound but a current of energy and light that flows up and down the spine. The Nada, sound current, is what connects us to Pranava, Om. Awakening the Nada and allowing it to flow through the spine is the basis of Nada Yoga.
In this immersive workshop, Alec will introduce the foundational components of this system of yoga. Participants will be guided through a deep Nada practice incorporating Kriya, Mudra, and Mantra, fostering a holistic experience of sound, movement, and intention. No prior experience is required; all are welcome.
For those who are unfamiliar with Kirtan, Kirtan is a devotional practice involving repetitive singing of ancient mantras, connecting individuals with the infinite and invoking the Divine Presence. Kirtan is not just about singing; it's a practice rooted in Bhakti Yoga, welcoming all emotions through song and dance. Whether you're a seasoned kirtan enthusiast or new to the experience, this event invites you to join a community united by the love of devotional music and ancient tales.
Bring your friends, family, and an open heart as we come together to celebrate the beauty of sound, stories, and shared moments. Let the melodies uplift your soul, and the stories inspire you on this sacred journey.
