About the event

This class uses a Settled Body Foam Rolling sequence as a recovery class for any athlete or fitness enthusiast looking to increase mobility while developing strength, agility and a healthy inner dialogue that supports peak performance.

Myofascial release is a stretching technique that involves applying gentle pressure on muscle knots leading to a release of muscular tension. It’s used as a recovery method and to help prevent muscle aches and pain, decrease immobility, and increase flexibility.

Maria Johnson, ERYT 500, RPYT, YACEP, is a veteran yoga teacher of over twenty years and the founder of the Settled Life Yoga School, 200-hour yoga teacher training program, a Yoga Alliance registered yoga school. She teaches alignment based asana in her international retreats and workshops, teacher training and community classes in a style inspired through the Krishnamacharya classical yoga lineage and training in many different yoga disciplines. Maria draws on an extensive knowledge base of anatomy and physiology as it applies in yoga asana and specializes in welcoming anyone, in any season of life to practice safely, sensibly and from the heart.
